CAMP ZOO - WINTER EDITION

Discover the magic of winter at the Long Island Game Farm. Join us for three adventure-filled days where campers get up close with wildlife, explore the wonders of our local environment, and experience the beauty of the season.

MIGRATION | HIBERNATION | ADAPTATION

creative art, and outdoor exploration.

Monday – Migration & Observation

Meet creatures on the move—birds, butterflies, and fish—and discover how they travel incredible distances each year. Campers will create nature journals and experiment with watercolor paintings inspired by winter wildlife.

Tuesday – Hibernation & Habitats

Explore the secret winter hideouts of groundhogs, bats, reptiles, and amphibians. Campers will investigate how animals build cozy homes, then make their own animal habitats and craft thoughtful Talking Sticks.

Wednesday – Adaptation & Plants

Learn how local animals like deer, foxes, sheep, and raccoons adapt to winter’s chill. Campers will design imaginative clay creatures, create tree-inspired art, and discover the amazing survival strategies of winter plants.

Camp Zoo is the perfect adventure for kids that love animals, prefer to be outdoors, and thrive on learning more about the environment. Camp days will be spent exploring the Long Island Game Farm and its amazing animals and learning about what makes them unique, exploring the Woodland Trail for hidden clues of wildlife, and age appropriate games, activities and creative crafts to round out the day.

Camp sessions are Monday through Friday, 10AM-3PM beginning July 6, 2026. Enroll for as many weeks as you'd like.
