VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Looking for a fun place to volunteer some time and enjoy a rewarding experience? Volunteer with the Foundation for Wildlife Sustainability at Long Island Game Farm!
We have new programs, and they all need volunteers! It’s an exciting time at the Long Island Game Farm. Volunteer opportunities are coordinated by the Foundation for Wildlife Sustainability. Here are some new initiatives:
The 55th Anniversary Celebration in 2025. Help us gather Long Island Game Farm stories.
The Annual Fundraiser. Help us make this a memorable event.
Family Fun Day scheduled with a full array of activities. Help us make it special for our families.
Woodland Trail, a universal access trail to accommodate all mobilities. Help us give trail walks and talks.
And then there is the everyday Long Island Game Farm Volunteer opportunities: Clean-up, storytime reading, direct visitors, gardening, trail clearing and maintenance, goat and Bambiland attendants.
Volunteers must have a positive attitude, a good work ethic, a desire to learn, be willing to work as a team as well as work alone. Volunteers should be motivated and be willing to talk to people, including our visitors and co-workers. Volunteers will gain education and practical work experience.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and must commit to at least 3 hours per volunteer session and be available on a regularly scheduled basis or as per agreed upon.
Long Island Game Farm reserves the right to cancel an individual’s volunteer work if we feel it is not a good fit.
